A word from our founders
What started as a dream to own a football club became something much bigger.
For both of us, that dream started from the inside — Xander at PEC Zwolle, David at Cascais SAD. Different clubs, different leagues, but the same view: real heritage, real community, and real potential that never quite got the resources or infrastructure to match it.
That's where Estrella came from. Not a theory about football investment, but time spent actually running the day-to-day, seeing what a club like this could become with the right support behind it, and how rarely that support arrives without asking the club to give up what makes it theirs.
So we built Estrella around that opportunity.
Every club that joins this network keeps its own identity, its own community, its own history, that's non-negotiable for us. What we bring is the infrastructure, the shared expertise, and the network to help ambitious clubs compete and grow, without trading away what makes them worth investing in in the first place.
We believe football deserves a model that respects both sides of that equation — the ambition to grow, and the right to stay who you are. That's what we're building. This is just the beginning.
