EFG Monthly- Januari 2026
Feb 13, 2026

Welcome to the Estrella Football Group's monthly newsletter, where we share the latest news of the group.
January was a great month for the entire group as we welcomed new investors, a beautiful heritage brand partnership, and we welcomed an extremely talented player.
A New Capital Partner
In January, Athvance Capital acquired a majority stake in ve2ventures, strengthening the sports and media tech ecosystem that supports Estrella Football Group’s long-term growth.
The acquisition provides access to a broader venture portfolio, expanded operational resources, and additional strategic expertise across the network. It marks an important step in building a more modern, scalable football ownership platform across multiple markets.

Cascais Attracts Young Dutch Talent
On the football side, Dutch talent Iggy Houben joined Cascais for the remainder of the season. Developed in the PSV Eindhoven academy and a former Netherlands U15 international, Houben adds quality, intensity, and ambition to the squad as the club pushes toward its seasonal objectives. The move reflects Estrella’s commitment to strengthening its clubs on the pitch while creating clear development pathways across the group.

Cascais x Santini
Cascais is also proud to announce a landmark collaboration with Santini’s, Portugal’s most iconic ice cream brand. This partnership unites two of Cascais’ most historic institutions to celebrate local identity. To mark this collaboration the club has launched an exclusive, limited-edition commemorative jersey. The shirt honors Santini’s rich history by displaying their founding date ‘’Since 1949’’ on the back.
“This partnership brings together two true symbols of our municipality,” said Gonçalo Moura, CEO of CSC. “CSC and Santini are emblems of tradition and community. This symbolic jersey celebrates a shared identity and our commitment to representing Cascais’ values far beyond the pitch.” Eduardo Santini, Executive Director at Santini, echoed this sentiment: “Seeing CSC pay tribute to Santini with this special kit is a moment of extreme pride. It is a simple yet deeply meaningful tribute to two names that define the history of Cascais.”
The shirt made its official debut during the match on February 1st, winning 3-1 at home against Operário Futebol Clube de Lisboa.

A Mini Docu-Series for Cascais
We begin with something we’re especially proud of: the release of A Nossa Terra, O Nosso Clube, a four-episode documentary series about the remarkable rise of Clube Sportivo de Cascais.
What once drew just eight online viewers has grown into a club followed and supported by thousands of football fans around the world. The series tells that journey not through results or trophies, but through people, place, and belief.
It’s a story about community, resilience, and an unexpected friendship that became part of the club’s modern identity. A story about belonging.
Our land.
Our people.
Our club.
Credit to our partner Colure Sports for creating this documentary.
