Estrella Football Group confirms that, following several constructive discussions with the current shareholders of Pro Patria, the deadline attached to its improved investment proposal has now expired without a response from the majority shareholder. As a result, Estrella Football Group is withdrawing from the current acquisition process. Throughout the process, Estrella Football Group demonstrated considerable patience and flexibility and accommodated multiple requests from the current shareholder in order to facilitate progress in the negotiations.

Recognising the urgency of the situation and the importance of beginning preparations for the 2026/27 season as soon as possible, Estrella Football Group also communicated a clear timeline for the process. The Group committed not only to registering the team for next season, but also to investing significant resources over the next three years with the ambition of returning Pro Patria to professional football in Serie C. To accelerate the process and demonstrate its commitment, Estrella Football Group agreed to shorten the due diligence period to four weeks and to work in parallel on both the shareholders’ agreement and the operational budget for the upcoming season, together with the other shareholders with whom the Group looked forward to building a long-term collaboration.

With preparations for the new season already underway and important registration deadlines approaching rapidly, Estrella Football Group considered it essential to immediately begin work on the sporting and organisational rebuilding process required for the club’s future. The Group wanted to provide clarity to all stakeholders as quickly as possible and looked forward to helping build a stable and bright future for Pro Patria. Throughout the negotiations, Estrella Football Group consistently emphasized that its proposal was not only based on an acquisition fee, but above all on a substantial financial commitment for the coming three years. The group intended to provide Pro Patria with the stability, structure and competitive budget required to rebuild the club and realistically compete for promotion back to Serie C.
